Don't type the brackets, just what is inside of them.

(you will need the root password to complete this task)
To access a usb flash drive running Fedora core 11 type:
[polkit-gnome-authorization]   at the command line.
A dialog box will open. scroll down to "mount file systems from removable drives" and edit the access permissions. You will be asked to enter the root password.
I used Admin Authentication (one shot)
then scroll down to "mount a device" and do the same as above.
